Yes, another year-end roundup of odd lost and found items, this time from a hotel chain, and its list is even more varied than the one last week from an airport where a husband was misplaced. And it also included a human, the best man at a wedding who overslept while no one noticed.
The UK Travelodge chain reports that among the items left at its 571 units were a pair of alpacas (not the ones above) named Art and Dec, who were left behind at the Stratford upon Avon location. Presumably the owners realized their error quickly, aslong with the owners of a Persian chinchilla cat named Angel.
But living creatures were the least of it, if the most spectacular. Among the other items left by nearly 19 million hotel guests were also a brand-new Aston Martin (really?), a Tiffany engagement ring left in a pillowcase, a diamond watch, a 75-inch TV, a gallon of water from Loch Ness, a gingerbread village and a variety of computers and musical instruments.
And, less surprising than the best man, the chain reports a strong uptick in wedding and proposal props being left behind, including a 5-foot floral unicorn, a wall of flowers and a huge full moon.
