Want a Different Type of Vacation? Go on a Yacht Vacation!

(content by Boris D)

Millions of people go on vacation every year. They usually take a plane and fly to a tourist destination like so many other people do. This can get boring pretty fast, however, so you might be starting to think about taking a different type of vacation. If you are, why not go on a yacht vacation?

The Misconceptions

Yes, yachts are expensive, but yacht vacations are getting cheaper.  It used to be that only billionaires and celebrities would go on these types of vacations. Now, charter companies offer these vacations around the world. The good thing is that you now have a variety of luxurious destinations to choose from plus several harbors you can visit.

A New Type of Vacation

Cruise ships offer too much to do. There are carnivals and other entertainment packages that you might have to pay for. Most companies that offer yacht charters will often let you choose between different packages so you can engage in just what you want to. Some of them also let you choose the itinerary because when you are on the water, every port or harbor in the yacht’s range is a potential destination.

Some people dislike cruise ships because of the sheer number of people on board. Depending on the size of the ship, there could be up to a thousand people on board. Yachts are more luxurious because they only have up to 100 people on board. This means that you can get the privacy you need, or even some peace if you are looking to get away from all the commotion in the city where you live.

Nothing to Worry About

Yachts are extremely well taken care of. Remember that a yacht vacation is supposed to be a different kind of luxurious, unforgettable experience. Therefore, companies that offer yacht charters frequently take their yacht for servicing at reputable marine electrical service companies like Tess Electrical so the yachts can stay in tip-top shape.

The Options Available

Even with so many companies offering different yacht charter options, if you look into it there are three main yachting options

– Small-ship cruise
– Packaged tour
– Private yacht charter

The small-ship cruise option is the cheapest one of the three. Companies that offer this service are specialists in this field as they travel much more frequently than companies that offer the other options. These companies offer set itineraries and have a regional focus.

The package tour companies sell yachting services that are tailored to a particular group, for example, a company. They also often give you a guide for the tour and offer a set itinerary. This option is more expensive than the small-ship cruise.

A private yacht charter is personalized and it is also the most expensive option. You get to customize the itinerary and your onboard experience. Some companies offering this option also let you choose the type of yacht you would like to charter.

A yacht vacation is an exciting experience because it differs from what most people are used to. It does not have to be too pricey either if you choose the right company and a lighter itinerary.
