Milwaukee’s airport is offering a smart new amenity for sun-bound travelers from the frozen north: They’re offering to let you leave your coat behind when you get on your flight for sunny Miami, Mexico or Maldives.
There’s a fee of $2 per day, but they’re betting you’d rather not get off the plane in Cancun wearing a Wisconsin-winter coat, or have to drag it around until it’s time to come home.
The airport says the original idea wasn’t its own; travelers kept asking if there was a place to leave the coats. The airport says it is prepared to store any number of them, into the thousands. With Spring Break coming up, they’ll probably see that many!
