The Brady Bunch house is located at 11222 Dilling Street in Studio City, California. It’s the second most photographed home in the U.S., second only to the White House.
The home was only used for the exterior shots for the show while the interior was shot on a sound stage.
HGTV bought the house in August 2018, three weeks after it was listed for sale. The listing gathered a ton of interest and even former NSYNC member Lance Bass thought he won the bid at one point.
On September 9, 2019, A Very Brady Renovation premiered to 8.1 million viewers. The show featured former Brady Bunch kids and HGTV stars restoring aspects of the house to like it was in the TV show.
The famous nearby restaurant in the clues was Vitello’s Restaurant at 4349 Tujunga Avenue in Studio City. The restaurant was in the news daily in 2001 with the murder of Robert Blake’s wife, Bonny Lee Bakley nearby after they dined there.
The Brady Bunch was a huge success after it went into syndication I remember it being on constantly in the 70’s as a kid. And it’s stayed popular through the years. The HGTV series on the renovation last year was the channels most successful to date bringing in more than 28 million total viewers.
I do remember watching that show and seeing the setting shots of this house. I’m a little surprised that it’s the second most photographed in the USA. I would have thought that might belong to Graceland (Elvis Presley’s home).
