Bonaire, along with Aruba and Curacao, make up the ABC islands located just north of Venezuela. The island is known for its excellent diving.
Although I didn’t dive or snorkel I was able to enjoy the island on a Carnival Cruise Line shore excursion.
I learned about the island’s long history before and after European discovery in 1499, desert flora and fauna, and the salt industry on my tour that went all over the island.
As with every Caribbean island, I find the locals friendly and the weather perfect. I had a very enjoyable day.
