While we can’t travel, here’s why we should

Just now, when many of us would like to travel and yet are unable to, sometimes not even in our own neighborhoods, is a good time to remind ourselves why we travel, and why we should when we can again.

A few years ago, Arthur Frommer, arguably the man who moved millions into what has become the age of mass travel, set down his thoughts on why travel is so important: not just so that we can see beautiful sights or photograph our families in famous settings, but because it changes us, enhances our humanity, to discover the many ways in which people live, and are like us; to discover the ordinary as well as the extraordinary, and to be changed by it.

Because no one has said it better, we urge you to read Arthur’s words now.
