Brunswick Old City Hall

The Temple was designed by renowned Jewish architect Alfred S. Eichberg and was built in 1886.  He also designed Brunswick City Hall and the F Rheinstein and Company Building in North Carolina.

In Spring, the Congregation usually hosts a Jewish food and culture festival drawing about 2000 people.

Rachel M Bregman is the first woman in the Temple’s long history to lead the small reform congregation. The history of Brunswick local Jewish community goes back to  post Civil War Georgia. Emancipated Slaves settled on nearby Saint Simons Island and there were also Jewish merchants.
