A couple of years ago my husband and I celebrated our 25th dating anniversary and did a staycation. Since we wanted to stay close, we decided to stay at the Hyatt Place Boulder in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. On previous adventures we had stayed at many other types of Hyatt properties in their brand. However, we had never stayed at a Hyatt Place. Thus we were excited to be able to spend some time checking out this newer hotel.
As soon as we arrived and walked in the door, we were greeted, welcomed, and offered some water. The check-in process was quick, but I still took a few pictures of the lobby while Gene was signing the paperwork, etc. We were given our key, their wi-fi password, and made our way to our room.
Once I took a few more pictures I checked out the little book in the room about the hotel and the area. I knew it was a newer hotel, but not much else. I found out that it has 150 guest rooms. Select rooms have beautiful views of the Boulder Flatirons. Luckily we had one of them.
They also have 7 large suites with kitchenettes. Sadly we didn’t have one of those, but our room had a little work area as well as a little refrigerator. That was all we really needed anyway for our short stay. They do have all-day dining from their 24/7 Gallery Menu and 24/7 Gallery Market.
Besides the rooms themselves they also have 4,984 square feet of total meeting space with a ballroom that can host up to 204 people, complimentary 24-hour Stay Fit fitness center with Life Fitness cardio equipment, and a parking garage. Wait. Did I forget to mention the pool? Yes, they have a pool and a hot tub! I used both while we were there, and they were amazing. I would like to go back, just for the pool, lol.
Anyway, the Hyatt Place Boulder staff was very gracious and quick to respond to any questions or issues we had. I also enjoyed the fact that they had some computers to use in the lobby. It’s nice if you didn’t bring one, or just need to check something real quick as you are coming or going out of the lobby. Speaking of leaving, the parking garage is a short walk through Depot Square which is quite interesting.
The Hyatt Place Boulder is located in the center of Boulder making it easy to explore all of the attractions that make Boulder so great. They are a short walk away from the 29th Street Mall and a ten minute drive to the Pearl Street Mall. If you want to enjoy scenic Boulder, they are a short drive from the famous Chautauqua Park. The hotel is in a great area. Just make sure to check traffic on a Saturday afternoon when there is a CU game on. It can get crazy, lol.
There are a lot of places in the area and they are just a short bus ride to anywhere in Boulder. Check them out the next time you are looking for a place to stay in Boulder. You will be glad you did. Here is a link to their website with more information. Oh yeah, they also have a bar! Happy Travels.
