Children at Play

In 1936, New York City built a brand new pool and recreation center in what was then called Colonial Park. As with many public buildings from that era, there were many details added to enhance the structure. This building received two friezes, depicting children at play. Those artworks are still on the building today, now called the Jackie Robinson Recreation Center, in Jackie Robinson Park.
