Not in your inbox, but on a Zoom call, as Hormel Foods’ SPAM (they always spell it all caps) Museum in Austin, Minnesota goes virtual for visitors who can’t make it to the newly-reopened temple of the food that’s alternately loved and scorned by millions.
Not content with filming a tour of the site, one of the state’s most-visited attractions, the museum, which is operated by Hormel Foods, is offering live virtual tours by appointment on Zoom. Savile Lord, museum manager, described the tour.
“We wanted to create a more personal experience and provide a customized tour for each group, like we would do if they were at the museum. When guests sign up for a live virtual tour, one of our outstanding SPAMbassadors will lead them on a tour and interact with each person or group in real time, providing the memorable experience we are known for.”
I have to believe this is at the top of your “must see” list, PHeymont. As I recall you love SPAM as much as Hawaiians do.
Yes, it is, and I have emailed for a place on the list! Rest assured, when I get my tour I will be reporting it here…
