July 8, 2020: Pineapple Fountain, Charleston, South Carolina

While my husband and I were in South Carolina early January of this year we did some exploring with some friends that live in the area. They took us to Waterfront Park in Charleston. It was a wonderful area and I plan to do a post in the future on the area where the Civil War started, Fort Sumter.

Apparently pineapples represent hospitality (definitely fitting in the South ). It was designed by Stu Dawson, Jay Faber, Varoujan Hagopian, and Mark Dawson, all of the design firm Sasaki. It is a beautiful area and I hope to visit again one day.

Beautiful fountain!  Been to Charleston twice and didn’t come across it either time.  Thanks for sharing it.
