While many annual events around the world have been canceled by pandemic restrictions, nature is still preparing to put on one of its most spectacular events, the annual color-shifting spectacle of fall leaves—and Connecticut, one of the prime destinations, is pushing for the business with a Covid-aware pitch.
At CTVisit.com, the state lists some of the best locations for the display, and emphasizes safety, safe events and responsible fun. Connecticut even has a new outdoor venue for socially distanced events such as concerts and comedy shows at South Farms in Morris.
But with all the activities, the changing leaves are still the star of the show. New England’s great variety of trees makes for diversity in colors, painting with peach, yellow, red, orange, brown and more mixed with the last of the green. This year, because of a dry summer and changing climate, the season is starting sooner and will likely last longer.
