RV’s vs. Hotels: Which Is Better?

(content by Naman S)

When you think about taking a vacation, you probably automatically assume that you have to stay in a hotel. And while it’s true that hotels are a popular accommodation for travelers all over the world, there are other options out there that you need to be aware of — like RV’s! In recent years, people have been slowly forgoing hotels for other options thanks to the rise of Airbnb. This is especially true now with the COVID-19 pandemic requiring social distancing and religious sanitation practices. So before you automatically book that hotel for your next planned vacation, take a second to consider all your options in order to get the best experience possible.

Benefits of Staying in a Hotel

Staying in a hotel is a good traditional option due to the wide range of amenities that hotels can offer. You have things like room service, valet car service, maid service, pools, gyms, and more depending on how nice the hotel is. Hotels are a great option if you are staying in a large city since you can then get a centrally-located accommodation and even get tips on exploring the city from the concierge. So if you enjoy the finer things in life and big cities, then there are tons of benefits to staying in a hotel.

Benefits of Taking an RV

On the other hand, if you enjoy getting out of town and exploring nature far from the city and tons of people, then taking a luxury RV might be a better option for you. One of the best benefits of taking an RV is the flexibility. You can easily go anywhere you want on your own schedule! There’s no need to worry about hotel reservations, checkout times, and expensive airfare. Taking an RV is also a great way to disconnect from the craziness of our everyday lives. At the same time, luxury RV’s still have modern features like WiFi routers and cellular service boosters so that you can still maintain some connection in case you have to work on the road or encounter an emergency. Finally, taking an RV might just be the best way to truly connect with nature and take a much-needed mental health break. It provides a unique experience that puts you right in the middle of some incredible destinations.

The Rundown: Which Is Better?

As you can see, RV’s and hotels are both great but for vastly different reasons. So which one is better for you will really depend on your budget, your travel style, and your travel destination. However, if you are looking to have a great trip that offers you tons of flexibility to get out and explore a variety of different natural wonders while saving you money — an RV would be the best option for you. And even though many people think that RVing can’t possibly be very glamorous, it’s definitely possible to have the best of both worlds with a luxury RV that has tons of amenities while still keeping it simple and eco-friendly. Buying an RV is definitely a great long-term investment that can easily pay for itself if you enjoy nature and road trips. Just think about all the money you can save on hotels, transportation, and food!

Traveling in an RV is a great way to see a lot, save a lot, and still stay comfortable and connected. At the same time, even though you will see a lot of nature, you don’t have to see a lot of people when you travel in your own RV. This factor will play a key part in how people travel in the coming months as we continue to live with the Coronavirus pandemic.
