The Petronas Towers were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004. The 88-floor towers were designed to resemble motifs found in Islamic art, a reflection of Malaysia’s Muslim religion. Another Islamic influence on the design is that the cross section of the towers is based on a Rib el Hizb.
Soaring to a height of 1,482 feet, the twin structure is Kuala Lumpur’s crown jewel.
The tour begins with interactive displays that showcase the journey, from idea to completion.
Next is the spectacular elevator ride. When the doors open you are on the Skybridge that connects the two towers and is the world’s highest two-story bridge. Then ascend even higher to level 86, where the story of Malaysia’s vision unfolds amid spectacular views of Kuala Lumpur.
