Apparently it doesn’t complain to complain to the chef, at least not on Lufthansa and its subsidiaries. The airline is dropping free meals and snacks from economy on European flights, and blames the decision on customers being dissatisfied with the food.
Starting in March, the free lunch will be gone from Lufhansa, Swiss Airlines and Austrian Airlines; it’s already gone from Brussels Airlines and Eurowings.
Christina Foerster of Lufthansa, who announced the change, says passengers will now see snacks that are higher quality, more sustainable and healthier. And will need to be paid for.
