Window shopping antique stores is usually an occasion for fond memories and happily-recalled images, but sometimes the things we see, the things that have left someone’s life, can leave a hollow feeling. At least, that was my reaction to this once amusing child’s chair in a window in Corning, New York.
As if to emphasize the sense of times that cannot be retrieved, the next window over featured an assortment of what not so long ago was new and modern… a future that has already passed.
