If you’ve got more money than time, or just don’t like mixing with ordinary mortals on an airliner or a train, Fly Lindy is offering a helicopter (chopper sounds too, well, plebeian) alternative—and they’re pitching it as a money-saver!
Fly Lindy, a subsidiary of GrandView Aviation, says it will start flying in June between New York’s Wall Street heliport and stops in Baltimore and DC, with several flights a day. It’s technically a charter operation on a pay-per-seat basis; Fly Lindy charters the flight from GrandView and then resells seats.
Oh, about it being a penny-pincher? One-way fare is $1500, compared to chartering a whole helicopter for $10,000. Compare that to $20 on the BoltBus!
