While several airlines are advertising that all crew members on their flight have been vaccinated, there’s no vaccination requirement for passengers, but a recent quick survey indicates that most passengers think there should be.
A snap Twitter poll sponsored by The Independent (UK) attracted 8,000 responses to the question “If you travel by air (in normal times), would you make any personal stipulation about the vaccination status of passengers and crew before stepping aboard?”
Almost two-thirds (64%) selected the choice that everyone must be vaccinated; another 5% were willing to settle for a vaccinated crew. The remaining 31% said they would not make a stipulation.
In further remarks, a number of respondents pointed out that some vaccinations have long been required for travel and that this should be no different; others pointed out that since so many have not yet had a chance at vaccine, it might be too soon for that requirement.
