Bentonville, Arkansas: Walmart’s Home Town

While driving home from Little Rock, and seeing some friends in Fort Smith, we stopped in Bentonville, Arkansas on our way home to Colorado. For those of you who don’t know, Bentonville is the home birthplace and world headquarters of Walmart. It has been the home of Walmart since Sam Walton purchased a store on the town square in 1950.  He renamed it to Walton’s 5 & 10 and it became a thriving business. There is still a Walton’s 5 & 10 in the town square and is now a museum. Sadly it was closed due to the stupid coronavirus, but we stopped and took some pictures of it as well as the main headquarters building. Hope you enjoy these few pictures from our quick stop through the cute little city of Bentonville, AR.
