American Airlines, which created the first major airline loyalty program 40 years ago, is throwing a birthday party for its creAAtion, with games and giveaways of points and upgrades of various kinds.
AAlright, enough of the AA bit. The celebration, which headlines that it is giving away 100 million miles, seat upgrades, Admirals Club memberships and day passes and more, has its own website at AAdvantage40th.com. The promotion runs though May 3.
There are nearly 1.4 million instant-win prizes, mostly 40 AAdvantage miles, along with entries into a grand prize drawing in which forty winners will each receive 1 million miles.
