The southwestern desert has pleasant weather much of the year, but on occasion you can get caught in a downpour or heavy snowfall. We visited Reno late in November, and witnessed an impressive snow storm. When the clouds lifted, we got to experience the mountains around the city and the city itself blanketed in snow.
These photos were taken from our rental home in Sparks, so the view towards downtown is to the south and west. A rather pretty setting, I thought.
