For those tired of the ‘muggle’ world around us these days and those who are true hard-core addicts of the world of Harry Potter, a new fantasy world is set to open soon in New York: the largest Potter-themed store anywhere, combined with a variety of interactive games and exhibits.
But since Covid is still out there, when the store finishes its last-minute preparations, all visitors will have to join a virtual queue to enter—possibly a bit less exciting than ‘apparating’ in—and will need to wear visible face masks. Sorry, no Cloaks of Invisibility as substitutes.
However. the three-story 21,000 square foot store offers plenty of photo-ops throughout the store to recreate those experiences, as well as two multi-player virtual reality experiences to put visitors into the Potter world.
And, oh, by the way: The store is also chock full of every conceivable kind of Potter merchandise for those who have, likely, already got closetsful.
