We’ve previously discussed the beautiful National Theater in San Juan—you can read about it in this link if you’re interested.
The theater has a popular and well recognized cafe where we stopped a few times for lunch or a snack while exploring downtown San Juan. It was a fairly busy place.
The decor is terrific — old yet well maintained. The main counter was especially nicely done.
The food was great — the only thing I photographed was this tasty slice of lemon pie — sweet yet tart, like a good key lime pie, but we also had soup and sandwiches which were very good.
If you visit the cafe be sure to look up and enjoy the great art on its ceiling .
