We were on an afternoon drive around Oahu and stopped at a cliff near Makapuu Beach on the most western point of the island. While enjoying the views and following some humpback whales swimming in the distance, a paraglider suddenly caught an updraft and filled our field of view.
It seems this is a popular spot for paragliding. The scenery, as you can see, is lovely!
I believe this small offshore rock is known as “rabbit” (Mānana) island because its shape resembles a rabbit’s head. My first thought when seeing it was that it resembled a whale — oh well, I guess my imagination is wired a little differently.
