Often great beaches have few amenities and are hard or expensive to access. Burney Park shows this is not always the case.
It is located between Omni Amelia island Plantation and Summer Beach. It has huge free parking lot, life guard towers, (which are manned during the summer), showers, restrooms, picnic tables and access to American Beach, one of great beaches with an interesting history. It’s uncrowded. People swim, fish, look for shark teeth.
A visit to the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern portion of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Constructed in the 1930s, it offers magnificent canyon views and a tie to the Native American history of the Canyon.
