Brussels Park

The largest park in Brussels, long known as “Parc Royal” or “Parc de Bruxelles”, was also the first public park in the city.  It covers 32 acres between the Federal Parliament and the Royal Palace and is a pleasant green oasis in this crowded city.

The park used to be the royal hunting grounds, and the current layout was crafted in the late 18th century, being rectangular in shape.  Walk along one of its paths, enjoy shaded benches on which to rest, and surprises like a bandstand, fountains, statues and a few kiosks serving snacks.
