One of the best things about visiting Stratford-upon-Avon is a walk along the River Avon on a nice summer’s day. There will be lots of swans to keep you company.
There are dozens (maybe even hundreds) of them, gliding between all the watercraft and looking for handouts (of which there were many). The family below brought along a few bags of old bread and the swans and ducks which gathered presented a nice photography opportunity.
Thank you for the nice pictures of swans, which are common throughout England on suitable rivers and canals. Back in 2010 we had a very cold winter and even a white Christmas. These swans were quite confused when the River Exe in Exeter froze over, but they are still looking for food.
