Registered as a National Natural Landmark, Clifton Gorge encompasses a 2-mile stretch of the Little Miami State and National Scenic River.
Although it is known as an outstanding example of interglacial and post-glacial canyon cutting, what I found was the soothing sound of rushing water, waterfalls, and a rainbow of wildflowers.
The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Natural Areas & Preserves, oversees the 268-acre preserve.
