Mark the day on your calendar, and, more importantly, put in your ticket requests, because National Museum Day, sponsored by Smithsonian Magazine is not only coming up soon, but admission at some of the 482 participating locations is limited.
Details are at the Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day web page. Tickets are one location per email address, but each admits two, so if you coordinate with your friends and family you could likely to together to one or two.
Included on the list are such well-known institutions as Seattle’s Museum of Flight, the Grammy museum in Los Angeles, New York’s Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, the National Auto Museum in Reno along with a host of less-known but fully-interesting attractions in every state. Included in the mix are 138 art museums, 55 science museums and 380 historical museums, sites and more.
