If you happen to be in a rail station in Belgium between now and October 7 and notice people poking around, looking in corners and talking to themselves, no, it’s not the return of Pokemon hunting. The Belgian rail operator SNCB is running a scavenger hunt in 35 of its stations.
The ‘Hello Train’ promotion is meant to call attention the Europe’s Year of the Railways as well as remind people that SNCB is often an alternative to driving or flying. The winner of the first prize will get tickets to a concert by Belgian pop artist Alice on the Roof on Oct. 27 at, where else, SNCB’s Train World museum.
“All the objects and places are located in the SNCB’s stations and can easily be discovered during train journeys. The objects, and the corresponding explanations in the app, not only allow you to discover different places, but also to learn more about the SNCB and its activities,” SNCB said in a statement.
