It’s a bit chilly to think about going to the beach in many areas of the world, but I wanted to share a few photos I took in Seaside Heights, New Jersey when I was there in August.
Site of MTV’s reality TV series Jersey Shore, this community of around 3,000 swells to a summer population of 30,000 to 65,000 tourists on any given day.
Its famous boardwalk, lined with food stalls, restaurants, carnival games, arcades, and the Casino Pier with its kiddy and thrill rides, overlooks a pristine beach and the Atlantic Ocean.
On a personal note, I lived in Seaside Heights from 2001 to 2004 when I worked in New York and later Philadelphia. I loved every minute!
