While my husband and I were in Detroit, Michigan this May we were able to see a Tigers game at Comerica Park.
From the park there is a wonderful view of the Fox Theatre. It is one of the five phenomenal theatres built in the late 1920s by William Fox, a film pioneer. It can boast that it is the largest surviving movie palace of the 1920s and is also the largest of the five original theatres. It holds over 5000 seats and is still the largest theatre in the city of Detroit. It is also very tall. There are 3 stories for seating. They include the Main Floor above the orchestra pit, the Mezzanine, and the Gallery/Balcony.
Sadly we didn’t get to go to a show, but hopefully on a future visit.
