Skogafoss is one of Iceland’s biggest waterfalls, with a drop of 60 metres and a width of around 25. Its setting is truly stunning and we were lucky to see it in glorious sunshine (on a road trip through Iceland this summer).
It is located just off the Ring Road. That, combined with the fact that the distance to Reykjavik is only around 160km, makes it a popular attraction. In other words, you are unlikely to find yourself here on your own.
However, it was not so busy as to spoil the experience.
Needless to say, I had to wipe down the camera (as well as my sunglasses) after taking the last couple of shots!
