Mt Fuji gets another thrill view

If you ever thought you needed another way to view Japan’s Mount Fuji while risking an attack of ‘jelly legs’ or worse—or if you’re one of those who thrive on ignoring gravity and heights—this one’s for you.

The Kawaguchiko—Mt Fuji Panoramic Ropeway Mountaintop Square (try saying that fast!) on Mount Tenjo, which already has a walk-off-the-edge-and-look-down suspended viewing platform at the 1,110 meter mark has now added a playground swing with a difference.

The Kachi-Kachi Yama Superb Viewing Swing doesn’t have the usual playground dirt down there when you swing far up and away…you’re out over the edge of a precipice—but with a great view of Mount Fuji if you can hold on. And a ride on the swing is a mere $4.40.
