Las Vegas is one of the most popular destinations to visit in the U.S. with millions of visitors flocking to the city each year. They’re drawn to its vibrant night life, diverse food scene, and spectacular entertainment. Beyond luxurious casinos, clubs, and hotels, there’s much more to the metropolis than meets the eye. Explore magnificent nature, get your adrenaline adventure, or immerse yourself in a cultural expedition.
Adventure Experiences
If you’re in Vegas to get hitched, you’ll be spoiled for choices from stunning chapels and top-notch venues to outdoor areas and quirky places. Take the Las Vegas High Roller, the second highest Ferris wheel in the world. Believe it or not, you can exchange your wedding vows on the High Roller if you’re planning a unique Vegas wedding ceremony.
For those who like to be in control, try ‘Dig This Vegas’ where you can operate a bulldozer on their 5-acre site. Heavy equipment is not only for adults, kids aged 8 years and up can also get their own mini excavators to have fun with. At the Motor Speedway, experience what it’s like to be a ‘Fast & Furious’ driver as you drift around corners or step on the gas for a thrilling adventure. Are you a fan of ghost towns? Live through a different thrill when you visit Nelson, Nevada. Located outside of Eldorado Canyon, the abandoned town is full of buildings and vehicles in ruins and odd movie props. If you’re willing to drive further, head to Eureka, a historic mining town. It is on Highway 50, dubbed as the ‘loneliest road in America.’
Natural Attractions
Visits to nature reserves are not only fun, but also rejuvenating, making your trip interesting. No doubt, you will want to see the Red Rock Canyon which is a gem of the city. Just 15 miles west of Sin City, relish the beauty of towering red cliffs and its fascinating flora and fauna. If you’re in town in summer and want to escape the heat, head to Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. Take part in night hikes and enjoy the bright stars in the sky. Not feeling too outdoorsy? Don’t worry, the park has a musical theatre and offers tours of old memorabilia.
Don’t miss Nevada’s first state park, the spectacular Valley of Fire which is dotted with huge bright red sandstone formations. At sunset, the valley looks like it’s on fire due to the red hue of the stunning rocks. Hike, camp, admire gorgeous landscapes, or study the ancient pertroglyphs carved on stones. Have enough of desert scenery? Drive to the north and take in the verdant beauty of Mount Charleston. Check out the hiking trails or set camp for some wilderness adventure. If you’re in town during the winter season, you can ski, sled, or snowboard at Mount Charleston.
Vegas is a special place that offers a lot of things to visitors. From glitzy casinos and extravagant shows to exciting adventures and experiences, it is possible to get a piece of everything when you visit the ‘Entertainment Capital of the World.’
