iSimangaliso Wetland Park is situated in KwaZulu-Natal, in a coastal location around 240km north of Durban. It is probably most famous for its hippos and crocodiles, but there is plenty more wildlife here – including kudus, like these two magnificent bulls.
iSimangaliso is on the UNESCO list, the very first Natural World Heritage Site to be declared in South Africa (in 1999).
It contains quite diverse terrains – from savannah to marshland as well as dunes and sandy beaches.
