Around the first day of fall each year a group of Spokane’s professional artists hold an art fair. The exhibits are located at five separate (but close) properties along the city’s scenic Little Spokane River. You can visit one or more of the five spots, depending on your time and level of interest.
This was my first experience with the artists’ tour, the work of 47 artists on display. Our neighbors suggested we join them and my wife and I thought it a lovely idea! There were all types of art for sale, including oil and water-color paintings, photography, jewelry, sculpture, worked wood and glass, leather, and other crafts as well.
The exhibits were nicely displayed, but for me what made it a memorable day was the ability to enjoy the beautiful outdoor garden setting of the properties and the art normally on display at these homes. And the weather was perfect.
Last year’s event was a virtual one because of CoVid-19 restrictions. This year masks and social distancing were required to attend, but the event was still very enjoyable.
Admission and parking are free. If you’re interested in more information, please contact: [email protected].
