Virgin Voyages, Richard Branson’s high-style new cruise company (so high-style it insists on ‘voyages’ rather than ‘cruises’) is already revamping cabin decor after only a few months in service.
The change came after initial customers on the first ship, Scarlet Lady, complained that for a luxury ship the cabins seemed spartan, resembling college dormitories or Airbnbs furnished from IKEA, according to reporting by Cruise Critic.
Updates, including adding wooden beams and other light wood accents, more storage space and ‘handpicked artworks,’ are being installed on Virgin’s next ship, Valiant Lady as well as being retrofitted on Scarlet Lady, which has only been in service for a few months.
We’ll leave you to guess whether the image above is the old or new version…
