Teitel Bros. Grocery has been an Arthur Ave. institution for over 100 years. Selling top of the line Italian canned goods, pasta, olives, cured meats and cheeses, the store was founded in 1915 by Jacob and Morris Teitel, Austrian-Jewish brothers who came to the United States in 1912. It is still a cornerstone of Bronx’s Little Italy. They still line the sidewalk with their goods, as they have since they opened their doors.
