TSA PreCheck, the trusted traveler program that lets members move more easily through airport screening now has its first international footprint in the Bahamas.
The program, which allows moving through security without pulling out liquids and laptops from carry-ons and leaves your shoes on your feet, joins Pre-Clearance at Bahamas’ Lynden Pindling International Airport. Pre-Clearance allows passengers to clear Customs at their origin airport and arrive at U.S. airports without further screening.
Pre-Clearance is in place in 16 locations, mostly in the Caribbean and Canada, along with Dublin and the UAE. Before the pandemic, there were plans to expand the clearance program to more cities, but no plans have been announced for expanding international PreCheck sites.
