Belgium’s rail system is offering what amounts to a buy-one-get-one sale on standard rail tickets from now through the end of summer. The ‘Duo Ticket’ will be on sale through August 31st.
The Duo Ticket allows two people to travel together on a single-fare ticket, ranging from €2.50 to €21.80, depending on distance It’s a repeat of a successful promotion that was tried out before the winter holidays.
Rail operator SNCB says “This promotion gives people an opportunity to leave the car at home more often. It supports the climate objectives and the increase of rail usage for travel. Tickets are available online or from any ticket machine or office.
