Cross the famous Rialto Bridge over the Grand Canal from San Marco to San Polo, walk straight ahead along Ruga dei Oresi, then turn to the right toward the water and you’ll find yourself in the Rialto Market.

I doubt much has changed in the 23 years since I took these photos. Tourist shops may go with the fashion but what makes good seafood and produce I’ll bet remains pretty much the same in a tradition-conscious city like Venice.
