Rotterdam Rooftop walk: no ropes needed

Rotterdam has a limited-time offer for those among us who get high by looking down—a rooftop walk that offers the chance to see what tight-rope walkers saw in 2017 when they crossed chunks of the city on slacklines hung between rooftops.

From now until June 24, it’s possible, as part of Rotterdam Rooftop Days, to take one of 11 different tours that include up to 35 rooftops and a 60-metre-long temporary air bridge across Coolsingel, one of the city’s busiest roads.

The whole promotion and festival, now in its 8th year, aims to point out the potential of the city’s rooftops for various purposes, as well as providing a thrill for an estimated 8,000 ropeless aerial crossings a day.
