Qantas, the Australian flag carrier that recently restarted its routest to New Caledonia, is offering thousands of seats on flights to its capital, Noumea to loyal flyers who have been hoarding their points during the pandemic.
More than 100 flights from Sydney and Brisbane to the island will have all their seats available as rewards, on a schedule that stretches from now to November. The promotion applies to all classes on the service, which uses 737s.
There is a bit of a catch, though: A$199 taxes and fees added to the 18,000 points and up price for economy and the 41,000 for business class. Olivia Wirth, Qantas’ loyalty chief, also reminded that there are, at least for now, millions of potential award seats on Qantas’s other routes as well.
