Union Square Street Mural, NYC

In May, my husband Gene and I were in NYC and ended up walking past Union Square. While there we saw many people working on a huge sidewalk art mural. Turns out it is called Ripple of Peace + Calm. There were actually about 125 community volunteers who volunteered their time.

The completed mural features lotus flowers, floating leaves, as well as swimming koi fish, and was brought to life to enliven streets and public spaces. It was cool to see it being worked on. You never know what you will see just walking around the city. Happy travels.
