One of the benefits of living in the Idaho panhandle is that we often get to see some great sunsets. Our home is close to Kaniksu National Forest, to the east of the Selkirk mountains.
This past year I’ve kept my camera at hand whenever I sat on our back deck to enjoy a BBQ or have a beer with a friend in the evening. If a sunset caught my attention, I took a photo of it.
Here’s some of what I saw this past summer:
A visit to the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern portion of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Constructed in the 1930s, it offers magnificent canyon views and a tie to the Native American history of the Canyon.
I was visiting a friend, and this was the view from their house. I could understand why they built their house facing this direction. I was taken by the beauty!
