Merry Christmas to all!
In the spirit of the holiday I thought I would share some photos from a recent stay at the Historic Davenport Hotel in downtown Spokane. The hotel always does a great job getting dressed up for Christmas! And it’s a comfortable and easy place to stay in.
There are Christmas trees, lights and tinsel in many corners of the hotel, but the scene is always dominated by a beautiful and grand tree at the center of the hotel’s main lobby, shown below.
There are a number of ornate spaces in the Davenport, perhaps none more elegant than the Hall of the Doges, shown below….
Historic markers and displays are also easily found, including one that highlights the city’s most famous resident, Bing Crosby. but more on Bing soon.
