Breeze Airways, no longer really a ‘startup’ is again building out its network, adding Portland, Maine, and increasing the point-to-point destinations from its existing cities for a total of 22 new routes starting this spring as it marks its second anniversary in May.
Portland will have flights to Charleston, SC, Norfolk, Pittsburgh and Tampa. The airline’s business plan is to make nonstop connections with smaller cities that may otherwise only have connections to a major airline’s hub and a transfer.
Among the new routes are four each from Pittsburgh and Providence to cities with other Breeze flights and two new cross-country routes from Los Angeles to Jacksonville, Florida and Raleigh-Durham, NC. Other cities getting added service include Hartford, Cincinnati and Akron, Ohio.
