Flix, Greyhound upgrade booking sites

Booking an intercity bus trip in North America is getting easier with updates and upgrades to booking systems and apps for Grteyhound and Flixbus, both owned by Germany-based Flix, which acquired Greyhound in 2021.

The two operators still have separate sites, but tickets for both companies are available on both sites, including itineraries that involve both brands of buses. Greyhound and Flix operate bus routes reaching almost 2300 destinations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

The changed booking systems will look familiar to anyone who’s booked on airline websites: a single itinerary even if there are multiple bus changes; seats that can be reserved in advance (for a fee, of course) and online tools to manage changes in schedule or cancelations.
