Ponce is the second largest city in Puerto Rico, and its history is centuries old. At the center of the city is the Plaza Público de Degetau, the city’s main plaza. Here you will find three beautiful sights. The first is the Parque de Bombas (Firetruck Garage). This historic building was put up in 1883. It was the first firehouse on the island.
Behind the Parque is the Catedral Neustra Señora de Guadelupe (Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadelupe), Ponce’s main church.
Next to both of these historic buildings is a beautiful fountain in the plaza
